The Northland Vietnam Veterans Association (NVVA) is a non-profit corporation organized for charitable and educational purposes by local Vietnam era veterans who recognized an ongoing need for mutual support and advice amongst those who served in the Armed Forces during the Vietnam conflict. No public money is used to fun NVVA activities. Membership dues and fund raising activities are the only sources of revenue. This funding arrangement allows NVVA to maintain an autonomous organization. Northland Vietnam Veterans Association provides opportunities for:

Purpose for Corporation

This Corporation is organized exclusively for, and will be operated for charitable and educational purposes, including, for such purposes:

  1. Development of structure to assist Vietnam veterans to readjust back into society
  2. Educate and facilitate receipt of veterans benefits for its members
  3. Provide informational exchange of issues relevant to Vietnam and Vietnam era veterans.
  4. Provide a forum for members to articulate their needs and concerns stemming from their military experiences
  5. Instruction to public on topics useful to the Vietnam era veteran, benefits to the community including upper Great Lakes area through lectures, forums, or similar programs
  6. Provide crisis intervention counseling and referral for Vietnam era veterans

Furtherance of said purpose, performing all acts necessary and convenient for the promotion thereof, including and not limited to the receiving of gifts, grands, contributions and legacies of said purpose, the disposal of any funds and property received and income there from for the furtherance of the purposes of the Corporation.
